Alice Rosen LMHC, M.S.Ed. — Therapist/Author/Teacher
Alice J. Rosen, MSEd, LMHC, is the founder of "The No-Diet and Self-Led Eating Workshops" and "The Conscious Cafe”. She is a faculty member of the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy, former Director of Education for "Feeding Ourselves (SM), former board member of The Center for Mindful Eating and presently on the advisory council. She is all-level-trained, in Internal Family Systems since 2004 and has been a long-time student of meditation.
Her work is rooted in Mindfulness, and informed by ‘non-diet’, ‘Health at Every Size’, ‘weight-neutral’, and ‘body compassionate’ teachings.
Alice works as a counselor and educator specializing in eating and body image issues, but also addresses more general issues such as anxiety, mood disorders, life transitions, and chronic pain/stress. Her private practice, which spans over thirty years, is located in Concord, MA.
Alice tailors her therapeutic approach to the needs of the individual. Until recently, she led in-person workshops and groups designed to instill a healthy and satisfying relationship with food. She addressed the general public, parents, and colleagues on prevention, early intervention and treatment approach for disordered eating.
Alice’s publication credits include her column, "BODY INTELLIGENCE REPORT" which appeared for three years in the journal-letter, FOOD ISSUES, and profiles in Glamour and Self Magazine. She also was a regular contributor to Food for Thought magazine, published by The Center for Mindful Eating. Alice authored and recorded her CD set, (now available as an audio download) “The Feeding Ourselves Method, A Guide to Achieving a Healthy Relationship with Food”, and wrote a chapter, “Applying Spirituality to a Non-Diet Approach” in Wellness, Not Weight…. Health at any Size and Motivational Interviewing, edited by Ellen Glovsky, PhD, RD, LDN.
